Extra Divers Sifah is located in the picturesque marina of Sifah, Oman, nestled against the breathtaking backdrop of the Hajar Mountains. Just an 8–10 minute walk from the charming Sifawy Boutique Hotel, the dive centre is approximately one hour’s drive from Muscat International Airport.
The dive centre boasts a distinctive oriental boutique style and is run to the highest professional standards. It’s the perfect retreat for those seeking peace and relaxation, offering top-class diving away from the crowds. Diving in Sifah is known for its incredible abundance of marine life, beautiful soft corals, dramatic rocky drop-offs, and two magnificently encrusted wrecks that give each dive a special touch.
Please note: The dive centre is closed from 1st June to 1st August 2025.
Diving/Dive spots
Thanks to the high nutrient content in the waters, Oman’s marine life is exceptionally rich. Divers can encounter impressive schools of fish, large sting rays, torpedo rays, turtles, moray eels, and scorpionfish. Whale sharks have also been spotted in the area! Macro enthusiasts will enjoy the many species of nudibranchs and shrimp. Depending on the conditions, visibility typically ranges between 5 and 20 metres.
Most dives take place in the Bandar Khairan area, home to 22 varied dive sites. Situated southeast of Muscat, this region offers hidden beaches and unique coral reefs. A highlight is the wreck of the Al Munassir – an 85-metre-long ship lying at a depth of around 30 metres. It hosts a wide range of marine life, from rays and morays to turtles.
Another exclusive dive site is Ras Abu Daud, which is only accessed by Extra Divers Sifah. Here, steep rocky walls alternate with colourful reefs, teeming with schools of fish, tuna, turtles, rays, nudibranchs, and mobulas. Not to be missed is the shallow wreck of the Mimosa, beautifully overgrown and resting at just 14 metres.
Typically, two morning dives are offered, with return to the marina in time for lunch. Dive sites are conveniently located only 15 to 30 minutes away by boat, ensuring a comfortable experience from start to finish. Night dives or a third afternoon dive can be arranged upon request (minimum 4 divers, weather permitting). Full-day trips are also available.
In addition, we offer exciting excursions to Muscat and full-day adventures to the stunning Wadi Shab – perfect for discovering Oman’s beauty above water as well.
